Campaign for the Future of Our School

Join the children, parents, teachers and governors of our school by sending a message of support to help secure the future of our school.

Unfortunately, Ceredigion’s Councillors need reminding of the importance and value of this and similar Schools.

Do you need to live in the area to be a friend of the School?

No – you only need to share the same values and be concerned about the same threats to the future of our nation.

What can you do to help…?

These are some of the things that Estyn had to say about the school after their last visit:

Llangwyryfon Primary School is a rural Welsh school that provides a high standard of education and offers peerless opportunities for children to learn and practice their Welsh in the classroom and on the schoolyard. Opportunities that cannot be replicated in any nearby school.

By encouraging pupils to make full use of the Welsh language in all aspects of school life, staff ensure a very strong Welsh ethos.
Pupils take pride in the Welsh language and use it naturally when talking to each other in their classes and during break times.

The school immerses children whose second language is Welsh, and non-Welsh speaking children, in the language and enables them to become confident speakers by the time they enter secondary education.

The youngest pupils who are newcomers to the Welsh language learn the language quickly.

The school is embedded in its community and there is a symbiotic relationship between the two – the school a social focal point in the community, and the community providing the children with a platform to succeed.

Pupils are given experiences that develop them to become citizens who are knowledgeable about their area and heritage and are proud of their Welshness and their nation.
They are very proud of their school and enjoy being part of its community.
